About the Speech: As anatomising the theory-practice intimacy within and without the heartland of hegemony gains traction, reflexivity has inevitably become a key topic to address before one launches any research projects. In reflecting on Euroncentism/ Orientalism in the scholarship of International Relations of the Middle East (IRME), this talk will suggest a necessity of continuing to discuss positionality in research production and, more importantly, in pedagogical praxis.
