Announcement: Recruitment of Full-Time Researchers at Institute of International Relations, National Chengchi University
Specialization Areas: | International Relations, International Political Economy, Comparative Politics, Regional Studies. Expertise in geopolitical risk research within the semiconductor industry or AI-driven methodologies in the humanities and social sciences is preferred. |
Position: | One full-time researcher. The primary employer is Institute of International Relations, with Graduate Institute of East Asian Studies at National Chengchi University as the secondary employer. The researcher will be required to teach one to two courses in English per year. |
Qualifications: | • A PhD in a related field from a domestic or foreign institution, or qualifications equivalent to an assistant professor or higher. • Ability to conduct independent research, publish internationally, and teach in English. • Interest in policy exchange and academic administration is a plus. |
Appointment Period: | Starting from August 1, 2025 (1st semester of the 2025 academic year). |
Required Documents: | 1. CV for new full-time researchers at Institute of International Relations. 2. Copy of the doctoral degree certificate (for foreign degrees, verification from a Taiwanese representative office is required). If you have not yet graduated, you must complete the graduation process by June 30, 2025. New graduates are welcome to apply. 3. Official transcript from your doctoral program. 4. Doctoral dissertation and three representative works (if the doctoral dissertation is not yet complete, please submit completed chapters and a progress schedule). 5. A research plan for the past three years (in both Chinese and English). 6. Course syllabi for two courses in English related to your area of expertise. Applicants with teaching experience should provide teaching evaluation data. 7. Two letters of recommendation, which should be sent directly by the recommenders. 8. If your doctoral dissertation is not yet completed, your advisor should provide a progress report and confirm that you will complete the oral defense by May 31, 2025. 9. If you hold a teaching certificate, please include a copy. |
